Claudia,Charles-Niño PhD, focuses her research on understanding the molecular interactions between pathogens and host with a special interest in zoonotic diseases.

  1. Identification of protein substrate with binding to the enzyme saccharopine dehydrogenase from Cryptoccocus neoformans by in silico analysis and characterization of its potential antifungal activity in culture.
  2. Association of immunodominant epitopes of respiratory infections caused by human Coronavirus, influenza virus and respiratory syncytial virus with Diabetes mellitus type 2.
  3. Gut Microbiota, Faecal Biomarkers Calprotectin and Lactoferrin associated with Parkinson’s Disease.
  4. Identification of the resident microbiota in palpebral conjuntiva and ocular prosthesis surface, of patients with and without palpebral competition.
  5. Identification of the interaction of GRP78 and COTH3 proteins in an ex vivo vascular model in co-cultivation of Rizopus oryzae.
  6. Phylogenetic and antimicrobial sensitivity analysis of Candida spp strains isolated from patients with oral dysbiosis of the Clinica de Patología y Medicina Bucal.
